İsfendiyar Zülfikari was born in Istanbul in 1976 and graduated from the Department of International Relations at Boston College in 1999. In 2005, he completed his Masters degree at the Department of Capital Markets at Bahçeşehir University.
İsfendiyar Zülfikari represents the third generation of the Zülfikari family in the company, which was established in 1942; since 2001 he has been the Chairman of the Board of Zülfikarlar Holding.
Deputy Chairman of the Board
Cengiz Solakoğlu was born in Erzurum in 1943; he graduated from the Istanbul Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences in 1964. He started his professional career in 1967 at Beko Ticaret A.Ş. under the auspices of Koç Holding as a sales representative. In 1977, he became the General Manager of Beko Ticaret. He performed this role until the year 1983 when he was promoted as the General Manager of Atılım A.Ş. In 1991, he was promoted as the Vice President of the Consumer Group at Koç Holding and then the President of the Consumer Group at Koç Holding in 1994. In addition to his existing position, he was a Member of the Steering Board at Koç Holding between 1996-1998. Starting from 2002, he worked as the President of the Consumer Durables Group at Koç Holding until his retirement in 2004.
Cengiz Solakoğlu, who is one of the founders of the Foundation for the Educational Volunteers of Turkey, TEGV, has been a Board Member at TEGV uninterruptedly since its onset and was the Chairman of the Board of the foundation between 2002-2004. In 2004, he was chosen as the Civil Society Leader of the Year by the magazine, Ekonomist. Between 2007 and 2011, he again acted as the Chairman of the Board of TEGV. Having been re-elected as its Chairman for the 2015-2019 period, he is still serving in this position.
Solakoğlu currently serves as a Board Member in numerous companies and is an amateur photographer.
Ertuğrul Tuncer was born in Erzurum and graduated from Robert College (Boğaziçi University) in 1964.
Mr Tuncer started his professional career at Bauer Electrical Engine Factory in Germany in 1964 and moved to oil industry in 1967. Between 1967- 1990, he worked at different positions in sales and marketing departments at Mobil Oil Türkiye and was promoted as the CEO of this company in 1990. In 1994, he started working for Ataş Petrol Refinery and served as the Chairman of the Board until 2000. Between 1996 and 2000, he was the CEO during the merger of Mobil and BP. Starting from 2000, Mr Tuncer became the CEO of Petrol Ofisi and was a Board Member at Petrol Ofisi between 2005-2006.
In 2006, he started working for Case Consultancy Ltd. to render consultancy services for the energy industry. In 2008, he became a consultant at Polimeks Energy in Turkmenistan. In 2010-2011, he worked as a consultant for the aviation fuel project, which was an OPET-THY joint investment. Since 2011, he has served as an independent board member at different companies. Mr Tuncer is the founding chairman of Turkish Oil industry Association, PETDER and a member at Corporate Governance Association of Turkey.
He was born in Ankara in 1957. Having studied at TED Ankara College, he graduated from the Middle East Technical University, Department of Industrial Engineering in 1979. After graduation, he worked as an engineer at Presiz Metal Sanayi and as a marketing analyst in Taksan. After having worked for a short period of time in the State Planning Organization, he started working at Unilever in 1984.
Mr Yılmaz served at different sales and marketing roles for Unilever and in 1988, he became the Sales Director; in 1991, he became the Chairman of the Board and CEO in Lever and Elida Kozmetik companies responsible from cleaning and cosmetics products. In 1994, he was promoted to the London Headquarters as the "Regional Leader" responsible from the detergent business in East Asia. In 1995, he came back to Turkey and became the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Uzay Gıda under the umbrella of Pepsi-Co/Frito Lay. In 1996, he was reassigned as the Chairman of the Board and CEO of nine companies within which Unilever is the majority shareholder. After the completion of the restructuring processes of these companies in 2000, he resigned from that position to work in other areas of business.
In 2000, he started teaching MBA students at Koç University. He continued with his academic work at the same university. In 2002, Mr Yılmaz became the President of Food, Retail and Tourism at Koç Holding. He was the Chairman of the Board and Vice President for 21 Koç group companies until 2005. Afterwards, between 2010-2012 we worked as the CEO of Hürriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacılık A.Ş. In 2013, he was elected as the CEO of Fenerbahçe sports club and performed this role until 2015.
He is still an independent Member of the Executive Board and Member of the Advisory Board in a lot of companies.
